INUNDATED WITH UNWANTED CALLS

For the past few days I'm being inundated with weird phone calls. Usually there is no one there or someone that can't speak English. I get 5 or 6 a day. I've blocked 5 of the numbers so far but a new number pops up later.I've had my phone for years with no problems until the last couple of days so changing # is not an option. Did someone hack into Verizon?

Unwanted calls are never fun, katone! It seems like you are doing the right thing by blocking these callers. Are the calls coming from a 10-digit number? How are you blocking these calls? Which device do you have? This is not a known Verizon issue. Unfortunely, we are unable to find how they have your number. Is it registered under the donotcall.gov ? I am looking forward to your reply so that we can help further.

Yes they are all 10 digit numbers but not with the same area codes. My device is the Verizon Samsung phone. And I am on the do not call list but it might have expired, I'll check into it.

As soon as I posted my question the calls stopped. They lasted for just a few days, 5 or 6 each day.

Thanks for the update katone and I'm glad the calls have stopped. Normally telemarketers will choose a random set of numbers and keep calling those for a short amount of time. Hopefully they won't start back up.
