Our experience with being sold two Home phone Connect services, one for me, and one for my mom is the worst experience we have ever encountered with a Verizon store.
1: Your currant provider will give you a discount on your remaining services if you change the voice portion to Verizon, I mean after all, Verizon will soon own your cable company.
(comcast RAISED my bill, no idea about Century link)
2: Your home security system will work fine. What security system do you have? Customer, "I cant remember the name of the Company" Sales staff, "It will be fine" NO IT WONT WORK.
3: So, everything will be the exact same as I have now? I have a fax/answering machine combo hooked up to my phone. Sales staff, Yes,Your fax/answering machine will work fine. You know, everyone has changed to efax now days. Both Customers, "not me" Sales staff, "it will all work fine". NOT, took looking up the device on verizon's web site to figure that out.
This transaction involves 2 customers that were there together to upgrade a phone. This was an upsale that was done while the new phone was being activated. Both customers can confirm what they were both being told.. BOTH customers home based buisness's and are very aware of there phone needs and concerns.
This really, really concerns me that a sales person took advantage of two people at the same time when he already made the sale for a new phone that was $100 more then the phone we actually wanted when we went in.. DOES VERIZON TRAIN THERE SALES PEOPLE TO DO THIS?
I used 63 mins of my 450 min phone plan trying to get my home phone ported back to comcast. I would like Verizon to give me those 63 mins back!!!!!
