People getting "line disconnected" when dialing my new number

I recently relocated from CA to UT and changed my phone number. I have had a few people tell me when they try and call me they are getting an error saying that this line has been disconnected and is no longer in service. At first I thought it was people mis-dialing my old number by mistake, but it is happening with people that have never had/known my old number. Anyone ever come across this?

That definitely should not be happening, and can make it quite difficult to keep in contact with family and friends. pirate4x4lance, we're here to help get this figured out! What type of phone are you currently using? If you are using a 4g phone, have you tried powering off the phone, and removing the battery if it is removable? Then power it back up like normal. If you have a 3g phone, please dial *228, and choose option 1 for programming. This may help clear this issue.



Also, just in case, please dial *73 from your phone. This can also be caused by having call forwarding enabled. Dialing *73 will disable this feature if it has been engaged.
