my 2 year agreement was due so i was shopping around but i decided to call verizon wireless first to see what they can offer for renewing my contract. (worst decision i've made) i contacted verizon wireless thru their chat option. i had my droid bionic with unlimited data and 700 minutes shared with my wife, so i was advised if i wanted to upgrade to a newer phone i will lose the unlimited data, i was fine with that since im not a heavy data user. they also advised that they have a "better" plan for me called share everything plan, where minutes and text are unlimited and data is shared between me and my wife.since i was an unlimited data customer they had something called "loyalty max" where i would get 6gb for $30. so i decided to continue with that plan and decided to purchase the new HTC one m8 and also upgraded my wifes phone to the new iphone 5c all in the same chat session!! i asked the agent to PLEASE break down my monthly cost, he quoted me $40(my smarthphone) + $40(wifes iphone) + $30 data = $110 plus taxes, insurance, and any features i add. i also asked him if the "6GB ARE SHARED?? and he replied yes. i asked him again to make sure and he replied yes again.
1 month later.....
i received my bill and nothing that was promised was true!! i was still under the nationwide plan, i was paying $30 for loyalty maxx plus my wife was paying an additional $30 for 2GB of data!! my bill was over $170. i called verizon wireless and they simply stated i was lying, and that they dont have a plan that im referring to. like all conversations i do over chat i always save a copy, so i have a copy of the conversation we had. ive called verizon wireless several times and i cant get this issue rectified. it seems my only option will be to consult an attorney or go to small claims court.
