This has already been discussed in other threads on this peer to peer customer forum. The carriers are still allowed set qualifications for meeting the eligibility for the SIM unlock.
All of the current 4G LTE phones from Verizon are already unlocked.
I just find all this very odd here that it has taken this long and pressure from the FCC to make this happen... you guys have really been in the dark age's for way to long
No... It has always been easy if you met the requirements... The only thing different between then and now... Absolutely nothing other than some political figure acting like they did something.

I just looked it up and it started in 2006.. with a lot of crying from the carriers
