Easy question but difficult to get straight answer

I paid for 1 week of service on my jetpack for $15. My question is whether Verizon is one of those companies that will automatically charge you every week going forward, unless you call to cancel? Or, was my transaction exactly what it was intended to be - one week of service for $15?
