Music inbox S5

Purchased a ringtone, got error message stating it couldn't be downloaded due to SD card, unless mounted and removed SD card, tried to repurchase ringtone got error message stating it was in my music inbox. Have searched everywhere in my phone and on verizon tones, ringtone is nowhere to be found. No text message, there is no option to manage ring tones in verizon tones just ring back tones, it does not appear in my music, sounds, downloads, or files. Where is my ringtone?

gingergirl3033, let's work together to locate this missing ringtone. Thank you for checking all of those places to see if the ringtone moved to those area. I would like to ask, what kind of device are you using? Are you using the Verizon Tones Application? I hope to hear back from you soon.

Yes, I am using the Verizon tones app. I have searched through that as well, but I can only find options to manage ring back tones.

Let's get those ringtones downloaded to your phone. Please text "list" to 8998. This should send you a multi-media message to download your ring tone and save it to the phone.

We don't want to see anyone running into this trouble, klishinan. Do you have a S5 as well? Did you try sending a text to 8998 as suggested above? Please let us know a bot more detail about what's going on with your phone.

I had this same problem on my S5. I texted "list" to that number and it sent me a list of the top 20 ringtones, not any of the missing ones I'd purchased.

I am having the same problems as everyone else. I have a Galaxy S5. My first ringtone downloaded. My second gave me the error message about the SD card. When I tried to repurchase the ringtone it said it was in my music inbox - which does not exist. Texting list gives me the top 20. I also tried to repurchase my ringtones from my previous device - I got an error message saying try again later or contact customer support. (Customer support was unreachable). I then got texts which said download failed and to try again. Those texts have since disappeared and I haven't been able to get any of my ringtones.

My solution is to use my OWN ringtones, or a free service like ZEDGE, save the ringtones to the ringtone or notifications folder, and then they are available to use as ringtones, text tones, email notifications, or whatever.

I switch phones often, thanks to family and friends also with Verizon, who are "techy" like me and we swap devices around. So I have a folder on my computer with all my favorite ringtones and sound files, and I just hook up via USB and add the files to the phones folders that way.

IMO, buying ringtones is unnecessary when you can take a song, edit the part you want to use, (30 second clip or less) and add it to your phone yourself. Or edit using ZEDGE and they send it to you as a text message and you can save it wherever you want to.

It was posted by someone else, but not as clear as it could have been. The solution is:
When in Verizon Tones at the bottom of the phone on the left side next to the main center button, there is a touch sensitive button like the back button that is on the right side. If you touch and HOLD on this left button an additional menu will slide up from the bottom of the screen. THere is a 'Download' touch button in that menu.

Thank you for posting this solution, Keesload! Not only was I able to download my ringtone, but I'm stoked to know how to access the additional menu on apps. I was able to get to these menus on my Note3 and disappointed that feature was not on the S5, not realising that I had to hold down (not simply press) on the left side button to access it. Lifesaver!
