I have my business phone with Verizon. It has come to a point where we need our business number to have extensions so our customers can talk to the right person. I want to transfer my number to that provider and change the number on the line. I do not want end Verizon's service just change numbers while making sure my business number makes it to the other provider. I called a rep and they informed me that I cannot do that without paying the ETF on the contract. I am long time customer that feels like Verizon is being unfair. I don't understand why I have to pay ETF if I plan keeping the service active. This is hampering my customer service in my business and Verizon is holding my number hostage for a year before my contract date is up. I am not a very happy customer. Is there any way I can get around the ETF if I plan on keeping the phone line with different number?
