I need to know the difference between paying $70 for a plan with unlimited talk, text and 4G of data and paying a $40 a month charge for having a smart phone on my family plan. I do not understand why I would pay an extra $10 a month ($120) per year) because my phone happens to have easier access to the internet. What constitutes a $10increase in monthly charge just becuase I have a smart phone? I already pay for 4G of data service per month and the phone was free beacuse I am a long time customer of Verizon. Can someone explain this to me, please?
