I have been trying to log into My Verizon all day and it is down. Any idea how long it will be down for?

Supposedly it will be back up at 8:30 CST. I called them.
still down at 6 am eastern time
they were telling people that yesterday. it would be nice if they posted something on the main wireless page but its more important that they to protect their image than inform their customers. until its back up I'm just going to prop up my replacement phone and admire how pretty it is. at least I was able to install all of the apps. now I just need to be able to use it as a phone
I got a new phone yesterday and they are not able to activate it! So I've been with out a phone for almost a day now!! Every time I call they say the same thing. We expect it to be up in about an hour. I've heard this for the last 12 hours.I'm so unhappy with there service. I was told i'll receive a discount on my bill so I suggest everyone effect ask for the same.
Well if it's gonna be back up at 8:30 CST then what time will that be for me in EST when it's 8:30 CST?

I spoke with customer service earlier and they said there is no ETA and to just keep trying every hour.
I've complained to my state's public service commission about their problems, because as a pay-as-you-go subscriber when you cannot pay your bill (due to Verizon's internal issues) and have been trying to pay your bill for the past 48 hours (the web site has now been down for over 2 days and the phone numbers all give the same recorded announcement) it is an issue that your state's PSC has jurisdiction over. Every one who's complained about this here needs to open a complaint with their state's PSC. The PSC's should be kicking them in the butt over this, and forcing them to give every customer a month's free service over this mess.
just spoke with them again today they told me they sent out a mass email saying that they dont know how long it will be down .??? I didnt get the email. thinking this is more then a upgrade of the system hoping they have not been hacked ,
It will be down as long as it takes for Verizon to lose a ton of Customers. They dont know and they will continue to lie to Customers. They are even telling their employees to take the day off. This way they dont have to deal with IRATE Customers.
This is crazy. I too have been getting the same response from them, "Call back in an hour" they say. I have called back every hour and they always said the same line until about 15 minutes ago when they said to call back in two hours. I don't understand a company the size of Verizon having an issue this large that has lasted so long. All day yesterday and today too. I tried logging in on Wednesday evening and that's when it apparently all started.
The best advice I got was to go to a local store and try to access my account from there. Just for kicks I roll up to a store and all the poor guy can do is shake his head and shrug. I'm not blaming customer service on this. Those poor folks have been dealing with highly frustrated customers all day for two days now. Somebody dropped the ball on this somewhere, though. I think it's ridiculous that all their CS reps are told is to have customers call back. I don't think the reps are being given information. I'm really aggravated at this point...but I'm trying not to take it out on the folks that can't control it. I'll just say, C'mon VZW get it together.
