My ex husband and I are still on the same phone plan but he told me to Assume the line so that I could keep with Verizon, but how do I go about that?
Do I have to do a credit check to get my own plan and will it cost anything that day to do it?
Call Verizon Customer Service.
Ask for Assumption of Liability. Your husband will have to authorize releasing the line.
You will likely have to undergo a credit check and a deposit may be required.
There's no cost to do an Assumption of Liability.
I see you said there is no AOL fee... does anyone know how much the security deposit is? I completed my part by releasing the line and now the person who is supposed to be assuming it said he has to pay $300. I think either his account is not up to date or he has changed his mind about putting this person on his account. It ticks me off, I already have someone else that I promised could have the line!
