I factory reset my phone, now how do I reactivate it?

I factory reset my phone because it had a ton of extra stuff on it that I wanted to get rid of so I reset the whole thing to start from scratch. Now I'm having problems reactivating the phone again. It lists the phone under my account but when I try to talk to a person on it, verizon doesn't go through. Any help would be great. Also, is there a way to get my security number e-mailed to me?

If the phone has a SIM card (is a 4G LTE device), you should be able to remove it, power down the phone, reinsert the card, power up the phone, and set it up as if it was new.  If it is an older Android and does not have a SIM card, dialing *228 and following the prompts should do th trick.

If all else fails, call customer service from a landline or other phone (800)-922-0204 and they can guide you to get it set up with and activated on your account.
