I was looking to change my plan and upgrade my phone lines on Verizons internet site when chat support came up and I was talking to Michelle and she informed me of a new calling plan that I was interested in and I accepted . I asked her about new phones and thats when she started telling me about the LG Extravert 2 and she said they were free and then later on in the conversation after she thought she had me hooked she said there would be a 30 dollar fee and I asked what the fee was for and she went into this big long deal about wireless workshops and online educational tools and so on .Well I declined the phones and called customer service and asked about the phones and asked if i could have the fee waived since IVE been a customer for several years and never been late . The lady went on to tell me first of all the phones were not free the had a 50 dollar rebate but after the activation fee would be dropped I would have had to pay 30 just for getting a new phone and then after the 50 dollar rebate I would have to pay 79 dollars which in total that would have been 109 dollars per line. Well I happen to be upgrading 3 phones sand my next bill would have been huge and I would have not known this until I received my bill . I even tried to talk to a supervisor but the lady said she was busy. I have printed the chat out and I want to complain . Its a sad day when Verizon gets its personal to lie and to deceive its customers to get them locked back in for another 2 years .
