Droid RAZR MSoftware upgrade just now and on restart I'm seeing an error message: System UIDs are Inconsistent. It asks me to wipe the data partition or the device will be unstable. What does that mean, and what data will I lose?
This just happened to me also
And it is sounding an alarm both in bluetooth and on speaker
I also got the message after updating to Android 4.4.2. This has only come up after the update was installed. I powered my phone off and on and it did not appear again. I installed it on my wife's phone and the message did not come up at all. I guess I will see if anything happens in the future and post it here.
OK, there was a post on Motorola site that it is OK to reply "I'm feeling lucky" as no harm comes to phone, and also that you really don't need to "wipe" your phone unless you get this message repeatedly. The KitKat update was not a virus as I feared. People in my company with same phone pointed out that what I thought was an alarm was a new default ringtone. Went to settings and changed the "sound" settings to something less offensive, everything was cool.
cltdba We are very sorry to hear about the device issues since he update. Motorola is working for a resolution to the various concerns. In the meantime, you will want to complete a factory reset on the device if a soft reset does not clear the error. Sheritah_vzw Follow us on Twitter @VZWSupport
brightmeadow We absolutely want your phone to function properly. The alarm has not been resported as an issue. Please share more details. When do you hear the alarm? Have to tried to power the phone off and back on? Sheritah_vzw Follow us on Twitter @VZWSupport
