IPhone 5c time not changing

My wife and I decided to change from sprint to verizon 20 days ago. We both got the new iPhone 5c's. Over the last week I noticed my phones time would be off by couple minutes, sometimes a few hours. My wife went to the verizon store and the customer service rep was very short with her and said it was an apple problem. I decided to do my own research. I found more people that had this problem and they found out it is a Verizon problem. I have had the phone less then 30 days. Mean while my wife's phone works great. I have been close to being late to work due to the time not being right. I have tried the hard reset and made sure my software is up to date. Not sure what to do next. Any help would be great!!!!!!

Hi Knine00!

Let's get this resolved for you once and for all OK? I have some steps for you to try.

First, please make sure LTE is on. Please go to Settings/Cellular/Enable LTE.

Once that is done, please go back to your home screen, and go to Settings/General/Date & Time/Go to Set Automatically and turn it off, then back on. Then, please monitor the device and keep me posted.

I have had the LTE on the whole time. I also have tried to turn off and on the time auto switch. The one thing I did notice earlier this week is if I turn the time auto off then on and then I back out to the home page, press my power button to turn the screen off then turn press the power button back on, I can watch the time update. For instance I can watch the time go from whatever the phone shows to the actual current time.

Thanks for trying Knine00. Does the time issue occur in multiple zip codes and states? You mentioned a hard reset. Was this done with a restore?

Don't know about states but I live in a different zip code then I work and it happens at both. I have done a hard reset numerous times and it still does it!

I have been having the same problem for the past three days! The time will lag behind for hours. I have tried to update the software, network and full reset, backed up all my apps to clear out memory and history with no luck. I have even tried manually updating the time in General>Date & Time tab (as well as the below steps of making sure the LTE button is on) and I still have the same problem. Also, I notice that I can not turn on the Bluetooth button, it keeps idling. I need some help here. I REFUSE to pay for $100 for a replacement phone that is not my fault at damage!

Also, I noticed that when my screen locks, the time goes back a couple of minutes showing the incorrect time. the incorrect time is also affecting how my texts pop up because I received a text from someone that was originally sent at 4:11pm but I did not receive it until I had reset (power off and on) my phone at midnight! I tried changing my auto-lock to "never" but I don't want to keep my phone unlocked just so the correct time will show. PLEASE HELP!!

Hello sach76, Having your iPhone 5C show the correct date and time is absolutely important! Thank you for your time in trying all of the steps you've mentioned. I want to do all I can to help. Which software version is currently loaded on your phone? By any chance are you finding that your device's time is incorrect after you sync with your computer? If your computer time is incorrect, it may be syncing the incorrect time to your phone. Please verify the computer's time in System Preferences > Date & Time (you may want to select the checkbox to set the computer's date and time automatically). Please try this step and keep us updated on this.

Hi TanishaS1_VZW,

I have the current software updated. I did sync recently from my computer, however, this was happening before I synced the computer and my computer shows the correct time. The date and time. Right now, the only way to keep the date and time accurate is if I keep my phone unlocked. Also, the Bluetooth tab in Settings is still idling.
