Our son is in prison and when he calls there is an automated system that tells us we have a call from a federal prison and to press 5 if we would like to take the call. We have been taking calls from our son for over four years with no problems. Just this last Thursday we got his call, pressed five and nothing happened. Our son kept trying including trying my wife's phone - she pressed five nothing happened. We spent time calling the prison supposedly no problem there. We spent time talking with the folks at Verizon, good folks, they suggested making the tone last longer - we did and that didn't work. In fact my wife tried to answer a survey from Verizon but that automated system wouldn't recognize the tones when the numbers were pressed. Anyone have a clue? We were told that verizon did an update Sunday. Can't figure out why all of sudden it won't work and on both (different models) phones. Thanks for any help.
