Upgrade and change plan at the same time

My husband and I have phones on the old Family Talk plan. We want to upgrade to iphones and at the same time, switch to the More Everything plan. I can't seem to find a way to do this. When I start with the upgrades I am only given the option to add data to our current plan, not to change the plan completely. Do I change the plan first, then come back and upgrade or vice versa?

Try voice chatting with a rep on Verizon's website. It's under contact toward bottom of page. I would think you need to change the plan first then the phones, but I would check with them.
