Straight to voicemail phishing scam, block slydial/direct to voicemail messages?

I received a  computer-generated voicemail message without any record of having received a phone call (slydial?).

The voicemail directed me to login to "my account" at www(dot)verizon23(dot)com to claim a

$23 credit.  I did not visit the website as I suspected a phishing scam/fake website.

I would like to know whether there is a way to block people/computers from sending direct to

voice mail messages.

Hello KCMO2. That definitely is a phishing scam site, so good eye and judgement in not visiting that site. With regards to a possible block this may work: if your phone allows you to block a contact from your phonebook, create a contact for Slydial using this number - 267-Sly-Dial (267-759-3425)



This may work, and is worth a shot.
