Why can't I get mms messages to work?

I have been trying to send a video message on my lg lucid 2. Nothing is working. I have tried to share it to youtube first and then send it to the person i wanted to originally send it too, but that still didnt work because my phone wont even let me upload the video to youtube. i have sat and done research on this now for over an hour and its frustrating. anyone have any ideas for me?

The video might be too large to send via text message. Uploading to YouTube is an option, but you might have to check your settings as the upload could be restricted to using Wi-Fi only. If you are trying to upload it over cellular data, it could fail to upload.

Have you tried emailing the video to the person?

It might also help to copy/move the video to a computer before emailing or uploading to YouTube.
