I have been reading that Verizon will automatically go to 10GB but my account is still reading 6GB. When will this happen and show online?
That is incorrect. Where are you haring this? 10gb is $100/month.
Verizon will not change your plan without your consent. Not like that. They can add new features that won't cost you anything but they would not change your usage limit.
