My phone intermittently gets this error with people I am text messaging. Does not seem to be tied to any specific event, reception is always good. The phone is about a month old. I'm using the default HTC app. What is the deal?

I have plenty of apps, but none that should be affecting the text messaging. I've tried safe mode, soft resets, and hard resets. The problem is intermittent and I've been having it a couple times a week since I bought the phone.

The phone and SIM card are new as of 04/12/2014. If you think it is a problem with the card I can stop by a retail location. My brother also bought an HTC One M8 and has similar issues from time to time and he is in Denver. I've seen several posts for this problem online. Is this a network error, phone error, etc? I will attach screenshots of the errors I get.

I've had my M8 since it was released back in Feb., and I started having this same issue about two months ago. I'll receive a text (not from the same person) and then try to reply only to have it fail sending several minutes later. It's very frustrating.
The only thing that's changed in my usage the past couple months is my use of wifi. Previously I ran almost exclusively on the Verizon network because I had 3-5 bars of signal all day. I had to switch to using wifi almost constantly because my new work building is basically a dead zone and we built a house in the one area of the city that apparently isn't covered by a tower (a rep at the corporate store said there's one in the works). I've notice that the M8 (at least mine) has big issues switching back and forth between wifi and the mobile network. Occasionally when it switches from wifi it will say that there is no network connection at all and I basically can't do anything even though I'm in a high strength area. Sometimes this is accompanied by an "x" on the signal strength icon, other times it will show full strength with no 4G, 3G, or 1X sign, and still other times everything will look fine. The only way I've gotten it to start working again is to restart the phone or toggle airplane mode (which you mentioned a support rep told you to do to fix the text messages).
I thought all this was my phone just being flaky and just needing replacement, but reading your thread it seems like maybe it's all M8's that have these problems? Keeping in mind this SIM card is new with the phone because of the smaller form factor...
