Very frustrated with Vtext.

I am having the same problem. It started on August 11, 2014. I get the "Your request has failed. Please try again later." message when logging into the Verizon Messaging web application.

Here is what I did to troubleshoot it:

I verified that I can log into the MyVerizon account successfully.

Verified that the feature was set up correctly.

Cleared cache and history on my browser.

Tried two different browsers - same result.

Tried a different computer - same result.

Tried from a mobile device - same result.

It is definitely on the Verizon end. I called their tech support and of course, got no results as usual.

Verizon creates and promotes all these features, you get dependent on using them, and they stop working. Then, of course Verizon can't resolve the issue. I'm shopping around when my contracts are up. For the premium price we pay for Verizon I would expect better stability and support in their service.

I am having the exact problem. I am traveling abroad and have been relying on Vtext and it just stops working! I have tried everything you have tried as well, so I agree that it is on Verizon's end. The thing is, I have been using the feature for months without any technical issues. I have called tech support twice and they promise the problem will be resolved. Still having the same error message. Would you mind letting me know when your problem is resolved? I thought it was just me!

No, as of today 8/13/2014 at 4PM Eastern Time the problem still persists. My ticket number with Verizon tech support is (removed) and I have not received anything back from them at all. I reported the problem originally on 8/11/2014. Once again Verizon tech support fails to deliver. I can not wait until my contract is up.

There's no need to consider another wireless provider! World class customer service is right here ronsec. May I ask are you logged into Vtext with your My Verizon username and password? Are you able to navigate and use other services on our website? As you share the details then we can get this resolved for you.

I am having the same issues also since the 11th.. having no cell signal while home I relied on vtext web app for communication. . Now NOTHING !!! I've tried all said troubleshooting as above as mentioned along with tech support and still NOTHING !!! When will this be fixed ???

I can access everything else on vzw.com . Messages is the only thing not functioning.

This issue is definitely on the end of Verizon. Especially since 3 (know) people are having the same issue since August 11th. Today, the issue still persists. I have logged into my Verizon and everything else is working except for the messages. Instead of focusing on individual accounts, work with your tech team and see what is wrong with the server. This is ridiculous.

Same with me. I have tried everything. I was on the phone with tech support for over an hour last night and still see no results. For me, this issue also started on August 11th in the morning. Verizon's tech team and customer service really need to pull it together here, otherwise they might lose some customers. Poor poor service. Shaking my head over here.

What the heck kind of answer is that? Are you serious?! Read the thread instead of just spouting a canned response. You'll see that I stated I verified authentication with with the MyVerizon account and can access all other services. That's what everyone having the problem has stated. This just clearly shows the lack of ability in Verizon technical support.

I was able to get my ticket escalated to Level 2 and spoke to the one and only Verizon technical support person who seemed to have any technical understanding. I will tell you what I told her:

It's not the device, client configuration, browser, or external network. I have tested all of that. The application authenticates with the MyVerizon account credentials and loads. The problem (error message) occurs as the application attempts to load and display the data within the frame. I see that while this is occurring a connection is being made to im1.vma.vzw.com. So.....without knowing anything about Verizon's application architecture or what condition generates this error, it leads me to believe the problem is likely the application itself, connection to a database, or connectivity with one of the servers in the data center. It has to be something like that since it is only affecting a small number of accounts.

Now go escalate this to an application engineer and stop asking ridiculous questions on the forums. Thanks!

After your rude response I can see them getting right on it for you.

the vtext application is outdated. There is no reason for it. Get over it and move on. there are far more things you can use to communicate instead of complaining on a peer to peer site. Which reminds me, chances are very slim that this rep will even SEE your response, much less escalate anything.

The Vtext web application is indeed very convenient! I am definetly sorry to hear you're having troubles. Everything seems to be up and running well on our end. How exactly are you accessing the application? Are you able to try another browser or device? I would also consider trying to clear the cache from your browser. Let us know if you still need assistance!

I did as you said and still get the same error message, "your request has failed, please try again later." I have tried multiple browsers, multiple devices, clearing history and cache and I still get the error message. I think this is only happening to a select few users and it is up to your team to figure out why.

It was working absolutely fine on the 10th when i closed out about 930pm and then on the 11th at around 830am i have been getting this message and have been ever since... I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE though so it cant be my devices or on my end..

Not working for me as well. Hasn't been most of the day.

Your not alone...I just spent 20 minutes with support online and even he couldn't get into it,,,so they know about it, lets hope they get it fixed asap

Was back working for two days and now it's down again. This is very annoying!

SheritaH_VZW, I explained in my previous post what happens. The web app doesn't load the messages it just sits there with the spinning circle. Or, I will get the message "You request has failed. Try again later."
