My wife ordered me a new Note 3 on January 28, 2014 and I think I activated it on the 31st. On the 19th we got our bill which had new equipment charges of $334.08. I had wanted this phone to be under the Edge program and my wife tought it was. It turns out that when she agreed to installments it was not the Edge program but simply an agreement with Financials Services to accept multiple payments for the device charges. I called and talked with various reps who told me that this could not be converted to the Edge plan that we had wanted. I missed that date by less than a week but it was the 1st time I had seen the billing information.
We have 4 phones, 2 Galaxy S3s and 2 Note 3s (mine and one 3 months old). If I remember the last conversation I had Friday night I was told that could upgrade either of the GS3s now to the Edge program (which still leaves this phone NOT on Edge) or pay the entire cost of the phone AND the $350 early termination fee, then get a new phone under the Edge program (which would have me paying $1050 just to be on Edge for this device).
I'll admit I was ticked. But I do like Verizon service. I understand the Edge program is STILL a 2 year contract, changing would only allow me the ability to upgrade faster. Is there anything Verizon can do that won't cost me a fortune?
