PIN Number for Prepaid Phones

I'm trying to set up My Verizon account. After I enter my phone number it says I will receive a text with a PIN number to verify ownership of the phone. I have tried this several times over the last 10 or so hours and I am still not receiving the text with the PIN. Is there any other way to register up for My Verizon?

Try using the last 4 digits of the phone number as the PIN.
