Edge up after 50 % is paid...not! I went online today and paid my edge up program to the 50% level and ordered a new phone and signed a 2 year contract as I was tired of the edge up program. I picked to have it delivered to the store and received an email and text message telling me I could pick it up. When I got to the store, I was told that I couldn't get a new phone for 30 days!!! It has to be processed through their system and another billing cycle has to run before I could get a new phone. AFTER 2 AND A HALF HOURS OF BEING ON THE PHONE WITH THE JOKE OF A CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT AND THE STORE MANAGER BEING RUDE TO ME, I STILL HAVE NO PHONE!!!! What is going on with Verizon? I thought they were #1 in customer service? I talked to 4 different CSR's and got 4 different stories. The store manager was so rude to me that I finally just told the 4th customer service rep that I was leaving the store and if I didn't change me mind as soon as my contract was up I was out of there...AT&T is right across the street.
I was told there was no order placed...I have the order number. I was told that the system has to update, it would be 24 hours. I asked them if I had come in the store and paid with a debit card would it have been 24 hours? The answer was no. So why am I waiting because I paid online? I was told you couldn't go from an edge up plan to a 2 year contract, well I did it online??? No answer and I just don't have the faith in Verizon I did have.
