Apple sues maker of 'Google phone'
"Apple says HTC, maker of the Android-powered Nexus One, stole its patented inventions." Steve Jobs' claims
I think HTC might be in trouble!
Apple will sue anyone who looks at them funny.
I think it has more to do with trying to scare Verizon into not releasing the N1 on their network. Apple knows that this will hurt their iPhone sales. It is also a backhanded way to go after Android without directly challenging Google. I honestly think Apple is terrified of these new Android phones by HTC. Apple probably has a stronger case against Palm, but did not sue them. They do not consider them a threat. This fact will really hurt Apple's case as it looks like very selective prosecution.
I also think HTC will be fine. It is very difficult to enforce patents like these. The 20 items listed are more ideas than specific technology.
It looks like a classic Steve Jobs tantrum to me....
"Meanwhile, Apple is already tied up in a patent lawsuit with Nokia, claiming Nokia is stealing Apple technology. Nokia says Apple is stealing its technology. Kodak is also suing Apple claiming technology theft."
Awesome. Maybe Apple just wants to see how many legal battles they can get into at once?
I personally hope the Judge laughs this one off, as he throws this case out. I don't think Apple has anything to stand on, other than fear itself. That Dick-tater at Apple has chosen the path he wanted, but now he is a little intimidated by the competition -and for good reason.
HTC will be fine, maybe even come out a little stronger over this silliness.
What I find funny is part of the suit about the HTC phone is that HTC is infringing on Apple's patent on Object Oriented Multitasking. That amuses me since the iPhone can't multitask. LOL.
I kind of hope Steve Jobs gets put in his place a little. He has been talking big and this seems to show a little bit of fear and/or concern that Android is posing a challenge to iDomination. Let's hope Palm gets in on it and then we can see a showdown of the Unix based platform phones. I want to see a cage match.

Steve Jobs is pretty rich and has a lot of money as is. It's not nice to be greedy. Sure Android is a huge compeition for iPhone, but you must always know.....something newer and better always come out.

What's really remarkable is that he said about Google "They came into our phone field" or something of the sort. Apple has only started making (one) phones for about two and a half years.
It is quite simple to add a link in a post on here. Just click that little paper clip silver button on the toolbar. It's right next to the smiley face....not the straight line the one next then. Enter in the link url and it'll be in your post. That or you can just paste it into the post. Copy link and paste
