You may be able to block the sender from the spam controlers.
Log into your online account. There is a Verizon Safeguards and then select Spam Controls.
I see the "Spam Control" under Safeguards but it is unclear how to block a text message with a return address that is a 5-digitnumber. It only shows how to block a phone number and a domain. I am getting spam from a number like 89022.
Did you ever figure this out because I'm getting the same thing. Spam text from a 5 digit # and cannot figure out how to block it! Thank you
those 5 digit #'s are supposed to have a reply to opt out type of option? do they not say anywhere in the message (usually at the end) how to get off their list???
