Scam refund offer from 800-922-0204

I just got a robocall from 800-922-0204 - it was a pre-recorded message offering me a $28 refund by logging into http://28verizon.com/

This is clearly a scam, and I wanted to raise this to Verizon's attention, as well as any other people how are getting called by the scammers right now. It's a pretty good scam in that the site looks pretty authentic except the $28 refund button.

I find it interesting they've been bogus enough to use the actual Verizon Wireless Customer Service number.

I just got the same phone call. Had the robovoice recording and everything. Nasty.

Tried to call Verizon to report it and couldn't hear the tech on the other end due to digital crackles.

Happened about 10 minutes ago for me. Same phone as above.

Irritating.

Hope they get busted.

Just got the same call today as well, except mine asked me to visit 27verizon.com.

I just received this call, decided to Google it to see and good thing I didn't fall for it. Also the automated voice threw me off too, I've called many times and knew something want right

I recdived the robo call also. Knew right away it was a scam. So I ignored it , then a couple hours later they call again. Block it? Except the number is a technical service Verizon number...how does that happen?

I Just got this same call but for $76. Scam is still going.

Scams will continue to run as long as the scammers are out there to run them.

As for the way they can use Verizon's number just download the Caller ID Faker App and you can call someone with any number you want to enter.

At 11:30 at night my cell phone rang with the same scam you guys are talking about. Robo voice, this time offering $48 refund; saying go to verizon48.com. I actually tried it to see what would happen, and a warning came up saying that it was a possible "phishing" site. Of course I didn't go through with it and just went back. Same 800-922-0204 number. Some great geek needs to figure out how to get these guys. I was asleep and this phone call woke me up!!!

I just received a call from the same number. There was a man on the other end of the line who said he was from Verizon Wireless and wanted to ask me 3 questions concerning feedback on their service. If I answered the questions, $25 would be deducted from my bill for the next billing cycle. As soon as I said I didn't want to participate he hung up.

i just got a call from this number version on caller id, claiming i get a 99.00 refund on my next bill September. that i didnt need to buy anything or change anything. that she had all my information and wanted me to confirm my identify. She didnt identify herself and had a very Indian accept almost hard to understand. i immediately told her i would call back as i was on another phone call.
