My phone used to work with all chargers, then it only worked with the original charger it came with but it had to be flipped one way only. Now it won't take a charge. Do I have to get a new phone ?
If it is under a year old take it to an Apple store. They can assist.
However if you have damage to the charging port via not using the supplied charger, you may have to pay either to fix it from apple store or may have to buy another one.
For the record the charging cable only should be attached one way.
