I'm on the "allset plan" prepaid plan with 500mb of data. I was told if I sign up for autopay that I would receive an extra 500mb per month. I did not receive the extra data this month. What happened?

Thank you JohnB for your response. I called customer service and they told me to wait one week. They said that if the promotional data is not there after 1 week that then they can help me. It's day 5 and I still don't have the extra data promised. I'll keep you posted. @JohnB_VZW @VZWSupport
Same thing happened to me. I will wait a week and check again.
Yippie! Keegan in Customer Service resolved this issue for me by manually adding the 500 mb bonus and issuing a ticket to make sure it works correctly for following months. I am very happy with the quality of response and hope that I will not need to do anything next month...
I called customer service and they manually added the 500mb. The rep said that we will have to wait until next month to see if this problem occurs again. I will post again next month to let you know if the data is correct.

You all had much better luck with customer service than I did. I signed up for the autopay deal a few weeks ago when I saw it in my "My Verizon" app. I was never credited the 500 mb after my payment went through, so I called tonight. The customer service rep spent several minutes "looking into it," then told me I wasn't eligible, because with my account, I'd needed to sign up between May 14 and 28, like it said in a text ad, but I didn't, so it was my fault. I never got a text ad, just saw it on the app, and tried to explain that. He said "oh, that's just an ad everyone sees, it doesn't mean it is valid for you when you see it," and told me he was sorry, but he "can't just add the 500 mb to the account. You might be eligible again sometime and get another text, but I don't know." I told him there's no disclaimer stating only some are eligible, no statement or fine print anywhere, but that didn't matter - "I'm sorry, ma'am, there's nothing I can do."
I might try calling back & asking for a supervisor (if there is one), but right now I'm thinking I might just look for another provider to give my money to.
This is the second month that I am having the same problem. I will call customer service and ask them to manually add the 500mb again. VZWSupportJohnB_VZW
How does the extra data appear when looking at your account online? The reason I ask is because I switched to prepaid today now that 4G is available. I signed up for auto pay right away, but I don't see anything extra on my account. I chatted with tech support earlier and they said it should have showed up right away, they told me to call tech support, but all I get is automated voice response. I will call again tomorrow if I don't see the extra 500MB.

Same problem month number two. I called customer service and I got the same brush off that it takes 2-3 day for the extra data to show up on my account. I was told the same thing last month and the extra data did not automatically add to my account. I will call customer service back on Monday and I'll let you know what happens.

I thought about doing this until now. I have already burned up 1.5gb of data of which 338 minutes of it was yesterday at home when I was on my own wifi. I think I am going to hold off on the auto pay for now but I hope you get your 500mb.
I think they are lying about the 2 to 3 days. When you purchase extra data you get a text confirming immediately so why would it take so long for them to add it. Good luck and please post what happens.
Same here, signed up for autopay and did not get bonus. I'm thinking maybe cheaper without bonus because you can buy pins from callingmart at 4-7% discount and pay no taxes, Do the math if you buy $20 data bridge every 3 months= 45x3+20=$155-4%=$148.80 with 1.5GB of 3X45=135+7% tax=$144.14 with 1GB
After painfully trying to get a human being to talk to at support, I was told I have to wait for my first auto pay transaction before I'll get the extra monthly 500 MB of data. It makes sense to me that it would work that way, I just hope I get it like I was told, it took me over an hour of calling in before I got to talk to someone. I don't like the idea of having to go through that again.
That's a bunch of crap! It says WHEN you sign up for auto pay not after they collect first month! Hey Verizon stop trying to screw your customers and make good on what you promise. How many people are hearing its going to take up to 5 days? That is not true, they can add it right while you are on the phone! I switched from straight talk to Verizon but the 3g speeds I'm getting here in Decatur, IL are lousy! VERIZON WE WANT WHAT WE PAY FOR! Plain and simple...
1treasurehunterdale, We want you to be happy with your service and phone. I apologize for the problems so far, but we can definitely point you in the right direction. Please call our Prepay Deparment at 888-294-6804 to speak to a representative. AdaS_VZWFollow us on Twitter at @VZWSupport
Arrrgh! Me too. Second month of no bonus data, no response from email to customer service. Keegan, can you help? Please?
Today is the first day on my new month so I logged into my account and I am happy to say there is 1024 MB of data on my account for the month. After one month on the 4G prepaid plan I am extremely pleased with it so far and especially happy now that I know the extra 500 MB does get added with autopay.
Same thing that happened after I signed up for Auto Pay. Not a damn thing. They didn't renew, they didn't give me another 500 MB. They even started charging me for calls and text messages until my balance ran down to $0.10. We're both Verizon's bastard step children.
I started my AllSet plan on 6/19/2014. I called to port my phone number over from PagePlus (Verizon network). The person was clueless what to do for prepaid plans. I had to volunteer my phone number as an obvious starting point. Two days later, the port finally goes through.
Last week I run out of data, I enter the code from a 3GB card. They promptly give me $20 credit but no 3 GB of data.
Four more months of this nonsense and then I'm taking my Moto G to another virtual carrier.
That was my initial take on it, but buy cards from Best Buy with 5% rewards card. Calling Mart looks promising. All I have to do is get them to actually give me my 3 GB of data instead of a $20 credit on no data.
Good luck with that, you may be waiting four months. I waited four months for my 12% company discount to kick in for the post-paid account I use to have.
The same thing happened to me. It worked the first month, but not the second month. The only thing you can expect from Verizon is lies and incompetence. The only reason I chose this carrier is network coverage, but with all the problems I've been having I'm wondering if it's worth it. I don't have all day to stay on the line with customer service for something that should happen automatically.
Do you ever respond with anything besides 'please call prepay support'?
No, they never do answer with anything except "call prepaid service". Don't bother going into a Verizon store because they call prepaid too - and they don't even have a direct line. Prepaid truly is Verizon's stepchildren. The only positive is that they can't hold us hostage for 2 years and there's no surprise bills.
I too had to call 4 months in a row to get the extra 500 MB of data added manually for autopay. Last month was the first time it automatically showed up. I wonder if it will again this month after the "system upgrade" (or perhaps we should call it a "downgrade"?). Calling Customer Service is painful at best - call, put it on speakerphone and go about your life for 30 to 60 minutes....sigh. Why does every other country but the US have good reasonable cell service?
I haven't recieved mine either....
Similar situation here. :smileysad:. I spent 1 hr with customer service, 1 hr last week on tech chat and another 1hr today on tech chat. all just to bounce me off to a different customer service number.
Similar situation. spent an hour with customer service on the phone and they told me to call #PMT. Now on chat tech again (2nd/3rd time)... Verizon system seems tricky... this shouldn't be hard to take care of. it's just 500MB of additional data, but that data is important!
under My Usage (Balance Details) it should label the 500MB as bonus additional data.. doesn't show it anywhere.. ::frustrated::
