Mysterious phone call...anyone else?

On 6/15/14 I received a bot call (recording) from 800-922-6666 informing me of a 81$ credit that I needed to redeem at my account at WWW.verizonwireles.com.

I have logged onto my account and there is no sign of any such thing.

Anyone else get this and know what it is?

I have concluded that its a spam/scam of some sort.

They even used the female voice recording that is associated with the Company when I got calls in the past which made me think it might be legit.

Any input?

I've received a few of those calls too...asking me to redeem a free month of service. They (whoever they are) even took it a step further and sent me a check for $0.03 with Verizon's name on it. I guess they hoped I would deposit it and somehow access my account?
