ios 8 update question

What happens to those of us who have iPhone 4 when the ios 8 update is released. Apple says the update is not compatible with iPhone 4. Will Verizon be offering any assistance to help those of us who are still in a contract and not eligible to upgrade?

Apple's operating system for the iPhones are an Apple thing. You will still have the same Verizon service and phone upgrades. But unfortunately, Apple is leaving the iPhone 4 out of the iOS 8 system. But you will still have iOS 7.x.x when and if you upgrade your iPhone, then you will get iOS 8. I doubt Verizon will give everyone an early upgrade just for iOS 8. It would be cool if they did for those with the iPhone 4 or below.
