How do I activate a device I used previously?

How do can i activate an old phone i preciously had connected on my plan without havin access to one of the other phones on my plan ? When i try to do it online it tells me that in order to do this i need to select one of the two other devices on my plan to have a text sent with confirmation number to continue but i dont have access to either of the other two device

I'll be happy to help jjamesb23. It sounds like you are trying to register for your My Verizon account for the first time. You will need an active phone to do that. If this is a 3G phone, you can just dial *228 option 1 to activate it. You can also dial 800-922-0204 from an alternate phone to contact customer service to activate the phone.
