IBM R40 Pantec UML 290

4G connects then disconnects 5 seconds later. 3G connects and works ok!

Was working fine before the upgrade all updates are installed.

Sometimes it is a real problem getting back to 3G once in 4G have to disable and then enable in network services.

Any ideas of what to look for?

Yes, all up to date, took it in to a Verizon store and had a new sim installed original problem said "Sim card failure".

They installed a new one even though it checked OK in their device.

After about 30 minutes of troubleshooting got it going in 3G since 4G would lock up but would not stay connected and I had to leave the store.

Tried everything uninstalled VM and downloaded new same problem.

I only have 1 gig of ram could that be a problem? Can I run in compatibility mode?

I am in a 3G only area today but I tried it again before I left from home and same thing Pantec 290 locks on to 4G then I hit connect and connection will only last 3 to 5 seconds then VM shows no device available.

I have to disable the Pantech then re-enable to find 3G.
