Verizon Wireless changed my calling plan 14 days ago without my permission and didn't inform me or even update my account screen to show the change until today (14 days later!!!!). They also took away my unlimited data plan. Here is the best part...there is a note on my account that says I was informed by a cust serve rep that I would lose my unlimited data plan and would not be able to get it back... AND I AGREED TO THAT! What are these people nuts?
So what's the big deal as I'm still in the 14 day period you may ask? Well VZW is not honoring the 14 day guarantee policy. They reverted me back to my old unlimited talk & text plan, but their computers no longer give them the option of reverting back to unlimited data. They did say they will send a special request, which will take a week or so to get a reply to, and then see if I get the data back. Bet I know what the answer will be.
Here is what VZW did:
1. Changed my plan without permission.
2. Fabricated a bogus note on my account that says I agreed to remove the unlimited data plan and never get it back. BTW I don't drink or do drugs.
3. Won't honor the 14 day guarantee due to, um, computers.
This company is so blatantly crooked it's unreal.
So I hope Dan Mead and someone high up in VZW customer service is reading this, because here is what I'm going to do. <<Comment removed to comply with >>
1. I'm filing a complaint with the FCC.
2. I'm meeting with my state Rep and Senator's offices next week to discuss this.
3. I'm filing a complaint with my state's consumer protection agency which requires an arbitration.
4. I'm going to continue using as much data as I want (usually 20GB/month) and I'm not going to pay for it. Overcharges will be deducted from my payment.
5. If item #3 goes nowhere I'm filing a case in my county small claims court to get a court order for VZW to honor the 14 day policy and get my unlimited data plan back.
Anyone reading this should be aware of how crooked this company is. How they can pull a sham like this is beyond me.
