Trouble with handsfreelink with new honda Accord

Anyone else have problems with Honda's Handsfreelink after getting the most recent OS upgrade? Handsfreelink support is telling me that it is an Android issue and that Verizon is aware of the problem. Not sure if they are shining me on or what... The handsfreelink will no longer read my texts for me.

I have read today that a Toyota was having problems with the iOS Apple update and the connection was blamed on the phone.

In this case please remember not to blame Verizon, they did not make your device or the operating system (Google makes the android OS)

I would try to clear out the previous connection and then use the cars settings menu to load it back in. See if that works.

Or go to your dealer and see if they have an update for the cars connect program

So I had this same issue on my Iphone, and just resolved it today. The issue is that Imessaging is not compatible with handsfreelink anymore. What I did to resolve was to install the free VZ messaging app from the app store. And also made sure notifications was turned on in the settings for the handsfreelink. Not sure if this will work for your Android, but let me know! My husband has an Android, and maybe we can compare settings!
