Iphone 4s - Prepaid plan

Just recently activated my iphone 4s for verizon pre-paid the $45mth unlimited talk/text and 500gb of data. I purchased 3gb of data for my plan for $20

But I am unable to send or receive picture messages.

Please help!

Congratulations on your new iPhone, alyssatakafuji. Let's make sure you are able to enjoy all aspects of your phone. In order to ensure oyu have the ability to send picture messages, please go to Settings>Message and enable MMS Messaging. If it is already enabled, please ensure that when you are sending picture messages you are connected to 3G, as picture messages cannot be sent over WiFi.
