my Motorola Droid Bionic will not turn on.

I see you indicate to do a hard reset, but that's impossible to do if the phone won't turn on at all. Battery is full, I verified with battery charger I have for the battery. I have tried holding the power and the volume down button, holding the power and both volume buttons, but there is no action. My phone is 3 years old - saying to buy a new one is not an option.

Just to clarify ... "holding the three buttons simultaneously" on a Bionic will put it into the Boot Mode Selection Menu.

Another option to the power/volume down button trick is to remove the battery, wait a few minutes, then reinsert and see if that will allow the phone to be turned on.

You could try a new battery.

You said you've held the power/volume down buttons ... did you hold them simultaneously for 15-30 seconds? Did you try it a few times?

Although buying a new one is not an option, perhaps getting a gently used phone from eBay or Swappa, or borrowing from a friend IS an option.

As tikibar1 said, holding the three buttons simultaneously for up to 30 seconds may do the trick. A new battery (you can find OEM batteries pretty inexpensively online at sites like cellularaccessoriescxom, batteries4less.com, cellularoutfitters.com, etc) is another option. Google the battery or phone model and find your best deal, many of the sites have free shipping and I've found their service to be fast and reliable.

One trick that also may work is ( Another option to the power/volume down button trick is to remove the battery, wait a few minutes, then reinsert and see if that will allow the phone to be turned on) before the battery reinsert plug in the charger and then the battery it will sometimes spike the battery voltage and go to boot up.
