When I woke up my Droid was not seeing the network connection at all. I show bars, but the sign for 1g or 3g are gone. I restarted twice and dont see any news online about an outage. Any suggestions?

No idea. I am in the upper east corner of Tennessee and I have no 3G on my droid either. My husband is without on his blackberry also.
I wonder how large of an area this entails?
Dial *228 select option 1... took about 45 seconds but it fixed it for me.
Ditto in Birmingham with my Droid
In Portland, OR. No service whatsoever on my Droid for at least a half an hour or so.

Cincinnati Ohio same here no 3G for the last 2 hours
No 3G for me, also. I took the battery out for 30 seconds, I did 228/2 & 228/1 and that didn't work. I thought that I didn't pay my bill so I check to make sure it was paid. lol. Then I decided to check the forum to see if others are experiencing the same thing and you are. Oh well, i'll go back to sleep now. I'm pretty sure it will be up later.
I updated PRL to 51803 and lost 3G. I thought it was due to the update but it appears to be a network issue if nobody else did the PRL update.
Same with me. I powered the unit off and got it back for about a minute. I pulled the battery and restarted and still nothing.
Cleveland/Akron, no 3G since 4am my time (that I'm aware of) I tried battery pull, reboot, airplane mode on and off, *228 option 2 and no internet connectivity at all. I can make calls and send and receive texts and that's it.
VZW said internet down and no ETA of it fixed yet but they working on it.
Tech support states that internet (3G) currently down and no ETA of when it will work. They are trying their best at the moment.
Wouldn't be nice if they had a NETWORK STATUS Web Page.... You figure if multi-million dollar gaming companies can do it for their limited number of global customers. Oh wait, that benefits the little guy.... what am I thinking.
Glad to see it's not just me, well actually I'm not because that means there's a bigger problem. Either or, hope it gets fixed soon. I'm just glad the phone itself still works, my wifes phone is forwarded to mine currently. Lord knows what kind of issues that would cause

I understand outages happen, but I agree a status page would be tremendously helpful - you cant get thru on the phones to support at this point (I tried several times, after going thru the IVR, I get transferred to a busy signal.
Nothing yet as of 8:16 in central Florida. Must be just a Droid issue, BB gets on the internet fine.

9:30 in Space Coast Florida and no luck yet... even with the *228. Not good for those of us who need it for work purposes! Come on Verizon! Don't let the AT&T commercials get to you!

I'm in CIncinnati, too, and it's still down for me. I even tried the *228, option 1.
ETA: As soon as I hit reply, my Droid got the 3G signal again. Crossing my fingers that it's back for good!

10:00 Am Cincinnati, Been up for a bit now and looks like it's working fine.
still out in central illinois.....and its 9:33 central time...
No service in Southwest Virginia/Northeast TN yet, either.
