Anyone ever had this issue?
I'm a former Alltel customer, just jumped over to Verizon, complete with new phones(3) and a new family plan. All is going ok so far, a couple minor issues.
#1 My daughters old phone (Alltel phone) started receiving text messages along with the NEW Verizon phone. Same messages on both. The old phone had been off for the time we were told to have it off, and was only turned on to get numbers from it. During that time, the messages piled in. Then the NEW Verizon phone completely stopped receiving/sending calls.
I put in a call to CS, which brings me to issue #2. When I dial 611 or *611 (I tried both) from my phone which is primary, I'm still greeted with the "Hi Thanks for calling Alltel" message, which tells me to call the 800 number for Verizon. My daughters phone gets the same message, where my sons phone goes directly to Verizon and works as it should.
The CS rep had me re-program both my daughter and my phones. This fixed the issue with her phone not working, but it has not fixed the 611 issue on either phone.
Anyone ever have this happen? Know how to correct it? The rep said it would fix the 611 issue, but it did not. We are 100% Verizon now, and I'd love to have something as simple as calling 611 reflect that.
