2.1 Update messed up calendar

installed 2.1 update with no problem today on my droid eris. but ... when i opened calendar and touched on a date i got a "Sorry! The application Calendar (process com.htc.calendar) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. Force close"

If, however, if I display the calendar in Agenda mode, it will show all my upcoming appointments and let me open individual appointments. Just won't open appointments from calendar view. Very weird. Also, these are all appointments synched up from my work exchange server. To date, it's been synching fine. Will have to call tech support unless someone here has advice for me. thanks!!!

I am having the same problem and I cleared all the data under settings and removed the battery.....no luck It also seems as if when I press on one day it is bringing up the previous day.

Exact same problem here.... hopefully somebody will come up with a solution. I'm out of ideas short of reinstalling the whole thing.

Seems to be an isolated conflict with "Day view". Agenda, week, month, etc. all work well...

Hopfully more people will tell us if they're having the same issue.

Thanks for this. Made me think about trying to change the default view to Day versus Month. Now, at least when it opens up to the day view I can see that with no problem and click on an appointment with no problem. I can also view it by week and click on events without it force closing. It's only when I view it in Month view and click on a day that it generates the force close message. Not perfect but a somewhat workable compromise.

I had a similar experience with the sync. Any feedback from Verizon?

If you change the calendar view settings/day views to event view the error message will no longer appear, The problem seems to be with the Time View option.

jwalth - you are a genius! I changed the calendar view settings/day views to event view and I was then able to view the monthly calendar, choose a specific date and view the events of that day! I then went back and switched the calendar veiw settings/day views back to time view and I can still pick days from the month view and no more force close error messages. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!

I installed the update as instructed and now have a blank calendar (which used to have events) and can't add events - I get a fault code and force close. Is there a way to uninstall and reinstall the calendar only?

Kudos to jwalth!

Now calendar is back to being fully functional. All it took was switching "day view" to event, running it and than back to time view. Now I can tap on the day from month view and no problem.
