Appreciates my loyalty?

I just got a "Free VZM Msg" telling me Verizon appreciates my loyalty, it lists my current data plan/cost, and offers me 50% more data for the same price I'm paying, no changes to plan or extension of contract, I just have to type YES to agree. Is this a scam? It came from # 900040001000

It's legit! I called VZW and asked them about it. It's not a publicized deal, but they are using it as a way to upgrade the data for long-term customers without doubling the data for everyone with a data plan under 15GB. I got mine upgraded from 6GB to 10GB for no extra cost!

If you are on 16 GB or more of data, then yes it is true. However, I would not respond to the text and go online to My Verizon and select the free upgrade plan there. There is no downside, so well worth your while to take advantage of it.

If you currently have 10GB for $110, 50% more data for the same price is 15GB for $110 - the promotional price. It's not a scam or suspicious, and yes, you can simply reply YES to the text offer and the change will be made, saving you time and effort.

it's legit! I got the message, went to live chat on the website and the lady was able to check for me and now i have 10GB for the price of 6GB!

How long does it take to find out if the extra data was added? Because I responded to the text saying yes and I checked my Verizon and didn't see a change.

Def not a scam, I questioned it too and did a live chat with a rep and I now have 10 GB and free mobile hotspot for the same price I was paying!!! :smileyhappy:

I got the same text message. I had the 6GB plan and the text told me they will give me 4GB more for the same price.. I couldn't miss out. 5 minutes later I got a message back saying I upgraded to 10GB with no extra charge to my account or a contract extension. So far, i'm a happy customer. Only been with Verizon since March.

Yeah, its legit. I was on the 10gb plan for 100.00 (actually 85.00 with veteran discount) and they upped me to 15gb for the same price. I was skeptical too (generating the call), but the rep told me it was an "unadvertised" promotion for long time, loyal customers like myself.

I just found this by searching on the message that I got from Verizon.

I'm on a 3GB plan, and they offered to bump me to 6GB. I am upgrade eligible, and I wanted to make sure that this wouldn't do anything to that.

Funny thing is, I was going to go down to the 2GB plan. Between the two of us, my wife and I only use between 1 and 2GB per month. So I figured that I'd save the 10 bucks per month.

The 10 GB plan has been reduced in price and is now $80 instead of $100 and 15GB is $100 now.
