How can I transfer apps and date from my old phone to my upgrade phone?

I have an Android Incriblie 2 smart phone, and I'm thinking of getting an upgrade phone so the games I play will go faster and not freeze on me. Yet how can you transfer all data, apps, etc. from the old phone to new phone? Cloud? Just plug the phones together? Use the SIM card? What?

JuPMod, we would love to see you with a new device! No worries. Your Gmail account will retain all applications that you've downloaded to your current device. During the initial activation set up of your new device, you will need to enter your Gmail e-mail address and password. which will restore those applications. If you have WiFi once you get the new phones there are several ways to move data including vzw content transfer app a memory card. Not all apps can be saved but if you use same Google account it makes it easier to access your download history for apps. A Verizon cloud backup is a good start tho.

Android Assistant. You can back up ALL of your apps to an SD card or the internal storage on the phone then copy it to a computer. JS Backup will make a backup set of your data, apps etc... and let you transfer them directly to your new phone. In some cases Google itself will back it up and install on the new phone. Check your google play settings and make sure Backup is turned on

I would stay away from Verizon's cloud as it will give you more heartache then it is worth and you will end up losing half of what it is supposed to backup.

Right like I said many ways to backup and restore. Here's the thing tho. If these apps and data are what's causing your phone delays freezing the you'll wanna start fresh. If you're going to quad core you should be ok. Most of your app data won't follow over. I've had no problems with vcloud except for saving sms but you can use g cloud. G+ Picasa etc. For saving important info in case your decide is lost/ computer crashes
