I'm running into a serious echo issue during voice calls. This only seems to occur when making cell to landline voice calls in northern VA. After placing a call from my iPhone to a local landline, my voice is instantly echoed back to me. The landline recipient does not hear any echo. When making cell to cell calls, there is no echo. I have tested this problem by calling two different land lines located in two different parts of the county. The problem isn't tied to any specific cell phone as I've tested this by making calls from three different iPhones (4, 5c, 5s running various versions of iOS) and all exhibited the echo problem. The echo at my end is present while holding the phone, using the speakerphone option, and while using bluetooth headsets or handsfree in the car. I did notice that I did not have echo issues during on a recent trip outside the DC area. It seems to be service-related and not a phone-specific problem. Any assistance in resolving this would be greatly appreciated as it makes using our phones for important local calls useless.
