Phone suddenly has a blackscreen.

How can I restart my phone? I've had it for less than a month and the screen suddenly went black. It worked fine about 2 hours ago and I haven't dropped it or done anything damaging to it in anyway. This is a major and expensive annoyance as it took forever to get the phone in the first place and to have it possibly bricked in less than a month is unacceptable.

You should certainly have an excellent working phone AKAdemy9! Let's figure out what's going on. When you say it's on the black screen, do you see any lights, hear any notifications, etc.? You can try the Alternate Method Hard Reset: http://vz.to/1qEMnVz However, it may be a good idea to plug into charger for about 2-3 hours and try to turn on again. If that still doesn't work, please try the reset.
