LG G3 Texts duplicate and constantly say "Sending"

Using an LG G3 I started having an issue this afternoon at about 1PM PST. First I noticed that my texts did not appear to be going. They would sit in the "Sending" status for several minutes. Then, it started being reported that my texts were being delivered twice or three times.

I see this is also being reported on a Sony phone and they feel it is related to their battery saver setting called "Stamina Mode".

This issue was a direct result of the LG G3 update pushed to the phone yesterday at about 1PM. The local Verizon people took a look and after a number of solutions were tried, a factory reset was the only fix.

It works, but created a lot of work on my part.

NathanLake, thanks for these details. First, let's make sure that this isn't a memory capacity issue. Delete all unwanted text messaging conversations. Next, disable Wi-Fi and connect to our network. Lastly, power your device off/on to soft reset and test the text messaging feature. Keep us posted.

Yes mine happened after the last update as well. However I did do a factory reset which temporarily fixed the issue but after a few weeks it came back. I finally called the warranty center at 1-866-466-5154. I told the first rep it started after the update texts sending being delayed and I mentioned the factory reset already performed. I was immediately escalated and the phone was warranty replaced. Good Luck,
