I have an LG G2 and Verizon ellipsis tablet. I keep getting this error when trying to backup to the cloud : "cloud contacts backup failed due to network lost!"
I have a Galaxy S2 and I get the same message, too.

I am having the same problem on my Samsung Galaxy S5. Last successful was on Sept. 26 @ 4:40pm.Tried using both WiFi and LTE, no success.
Yeah, me too. I'm starting to think it's Verizon's issue.
I have the same issue as well network data loss Samsung Galaxy S5. But when I log into Verizon and go to my cloud account its shows successful backup of phone contacts. How do I know if they have been really backed up?
You can check your cloud backups online on a computer. This error is a vcloud system error most likely not your phones
Change all of your contacts to Google contacts and let them back themselves up to google. You will never have the hassles of Verizon Cloud again. Your contacts will be backed up real time, accurate, easy to get to and will load on any phone you choose to load them to.
Yours seems the best approach. Verizon apps are well intentioned but too dodgy.
