Motorola Droid will not sync contacts to my 2012 Kia Optima

Why is it that my Motorola Droid will not sync contacts to my 2012 Kia Optima? When we first purchased the vehicle it did sync but there was a Droid software update about 18-24 months ago and since then the contacts will not sync.

Pairing your phone to your vehicle is so convenient now days, mokan. Let's see if we can get that phone paired. When trying to pair, are both your phone and vehicle in Discoverable Mode? You can check with the car manufacturer to see how to make sure it's in Discoverable Mode, but with your phone, you can go to Settings> Bluetooth>On. Then you can tap device name>(By default, it is visible/discoverable for 2 mins). To change, tap Menu> Visibility timeout> Then select 2 minutes, 5 minutes, 1 hour, or Never timeout.

My phone is paired to the vehicle. The vehicle finds iot each time I enter the car. The issue is (as stated before) my contacts do not transfer over to the vehicle. The vehicle indicates that the contacts are there but when you tap the contact button on the phone it says there is no phonebook available. The vehicle shows recent calls in the history but not the phone book. As I mentioned in my first post, when I first purchased the car the contacts did transfer over with no issue. This was ture for both my Droid Razr and my wife's Samsung. Then in early 2013 there was a software update and since then the contacts do not transfer. We have had no updates to the sofware on the vehicle. I have tried all the recommendations that I can find concerning this issues and none of them work. I have loaded a buletooth file transfer program and that did not work. Looking on the internet it seems that I am not the only one with this issue.

I'm ha I g the same issue. My 2012 Sonata had no problem syncing my contacts from the time I purchased the car in 2012 until this past June 2015. Can't seem to find a solution to this problem
