I am trying to send a message to one person and now i get cause code 98 general problems. what does this mean.
i even tried to call them and it rings once and then i get disconnected. did i get blocked or what happened?
That is definitely very strange. Rikki82. Let's see what we can do to help clear this out. Let's get some basic details first. What is the make and model of your phone? Any recent application updates prior to this starting? Since it is only occurring with one phone number, have you tried asking that person if they have accidentally blocked you?NicandroN_VZWFollow us on twitter @VZWSupport
I had this happen yesterday when texting my husband's phone. I tried rebooting my Verizon LG G2 and going thru my settings and such, but nothing helped. It turned out to be a problem with my husband's phone service that he needed to call TracFone to correct. He had just added an airtime card & while the service time was added to his phone, minutes to use for texting did not go through properly. Everytime I tried to text him, I would get the "General Problems, cause code 98 error", while he would get a text saying he had insufficient funds to send or receive text messages.
I hope this helps someone out, I spent hours yesterday searching for an answer.
Don't have answer, sorry. I am experiencing the same "Code 98" thing when texting and in Google calendar... So far. Did most recent Verizon update for LG V20.
Added note: the newest update from Verizon sucks battery life like soda pop! And phone is now analog-slow.
Hope a usable fix comes soon!
