Hello, I recently bought a galaxy note 4 and I'm more than happy I made the change, however, every time I send pictures to my friend through a text message she doesn't receive them. Her phone is an iPhone 4s. She receives a text message instead that reads

"One or more of the message components have been deleted by MMS Adaptation. Either the message was too large or the components were unsuitable for your handset."

Is there a way to fix this issue? And is it my note 4 or her 4s that has the issue? Her carrier is AT&T. Thank you for your time!

You can't send or messages to a non-Apple phone from an Android or Windows phone, as the messages are sent as iMessage, give this a try it may help. Enjoy that new Note 4...

turn off or deactivate iMessage before switching to a non-Apple phone, other iOS devices will still try to use iMessage to send text messages to your phone number. Follow the appropriate steps below to resolve the issue. Likewise, if you can't send someone a text who used to have an iPhone, having them follow these steps should resolve the issue.

Put the SIM card you transferred from your iPhone back into your iPhone.

Make sure that you're connected to a cellular data network (such as 3G or LTE).

Tap Settings > Messages and turn iMessage off.

Use the deregister iMessage webpage. For more information, see Deregister iMessage: Frequently Asked Questions.

These steps won't deregister your phone number with iMessage

Logging in to My Support Profile and changing your password or removing your phone number

Resetting your network settings

could be the pictures are too large. The iPhone 4 is a very small phone and is only 3G. MMS over the 3G network have a smaller size limit I believe.

I am not sure your post makes any sense. I think you need to re-read what you wrote and possibly correct it.

I read this as a non-Apple phone sending a message to another non-Apple phone. How are they sent as iMessage if being sent from an Android or Windows phone??? Additionally, they are sending to an Apple phone, not a non-Apple phone.

What your reply SEEMS to be doing is to correct a problem if an iPhone is unable to send a message to a non-Apple device which used to have an iPhone on the line. THAT is not what problem is being described, though. The problem the OP is having is sending a MMS from an android device to an iPhone. When switching platforms from iPhone to android, a problem with messages ONLY shows in messages sent from an iPhone to the newly switched android device IF the iMessage account was improperly closed out. It doesn't affect messages sent from the android to the iPhone, only from the iPhone to the android IF the iPhone still thinks it is sending to an iPhone.

My guess is that the photos are too large and must be resized for MMS. If the OP would like to send full resolution photos, they may be able to do so via email, or simply resize for MMS. I was under the impression most texting applications would notify you if a photo was too large to send via MMS and would give you the option to resize. Possibly that setting in the phone is not correctly set to make the notification.

To the OP, what texting application are you using. If you are using the stock texting application, you may want to try using a different one. I prefer Verizon Messages, but have also used Handcent in the past. I find both of these to work much better than the stock messaging apps on most phones.

You may be correct on the pictures as cameras do go to a very high Pixel resolution. I know some mail and message programs can't handle. I got the posted information from Apple Support site and I agree this is more for Apple devices. I was looking at it as two different programs that can't communicate to each other but I'm in the wrong ballpark on this one.That is one of the better parts of this forum. We .help each other (most of the time LoL). Thanks for the backup support.
